MUHC Networking Team will be performing an upgrade of the Cisco DNA Spaces Connector 8/4/2026 @ 0900->1100.

Cisco Spaces Connector supports location services for many devices.

A Assessment
Most notable applications affected are MobileView, HUGS, and Staff Durress.
Temp Monitoring:
• Monitors will continue to send temp data but physical location reporting of devices cannot be trusted during this time.
Staff Duress:
• Instant Notifier will continue to alert on duress events, but the location data should not be considered reliable at this time. Physical panic alarms are not affected and will function normally.
HUGS:
• Proximity alarms will still sound if tags are too close to doors. Application will still be accessible for admit/discharge. Device Integration Team will be turning off all location based alarms during this time to prevent rogue alerts/sirens/etc

Please use extra caution for HUGS patients during this time and be aware of all exit points for patients. For temp monitoring, please wait until after the upgrade to leverage location services for devices. For staff duress, please leverage physical panic alarms as primary, if available.
