Nurse Call notifications not going to ASCOM / TigerConnect

Incident Report for Tiger Institute System Status

Update

The virtualization software was restored around 1145 and we have been monitoring nurse call alerts going to ASCOM phones. TigerConnect should also be receiving messages as we show them connected on our side, but no code blue notifications have went off at our Columbia campus to validate TigerConnect functionality at this time.

Update

Update, we have engaged our nurse call vendor as well as the virtualization software company to work thru re-licensing the software and ultimately re-enable nurse call events from nurse call to ASCOM / TigerConnect.

Investigating

S. Nurse call notifications are not going to ASCOM phones or TigerConnect currently.

B. We use serial cable virtualization software to transmit nurse call events from a nurse call server to both the CareAware iBus and TigerConnect for secondary notifications. Primary notifications for the nurse call system occur at the console phones and staff terminals (where applicable) installed in each unit.

A. Windows patches applied to the nurse call servers has broken the virtualization software and we are reaching out to the vendor to resolve the current issue.

R. Please make sure staff are watching the staff consoles and staff terminals for the time being while we work to resolve the software issues impacting secondary alerting to ASCOM phones and TigerConnect.
