S – Situation
McKesson Radiology PACS is currently down. As a result, radiology images are not available for viewing through PACS or PowerChart.
B – Background
The PACS system is used to access and review radiology studies and images. During this downtime, providers and clinical staff will be unable to view images through the system.
A – Assessment
The outage is causing images performed today to not be vieable in PowerChart. This also may delay review of diagnostic imaging and could impact clinical decision-making and patient care. Radiology studies may still be performed, but images will not be viewable in PACS until service is restored.
R – Recommendation
Please be aware of the PACS downtime and anticipate potential delays in accessing radiology images. For urgent imaging needs, contact Radiology directly for guidance and alternative options. Staff will be notified when PACS functionality is restored.
