Situation
There will be maintenance performed on the MUHC Cellular DAS (Distributed Antenna System) Thursday, 04/30/26 from 0800 – 1700 and Friday, 05/01/26 from 0800 – 1700 for maintenance and hardware optimization.
Background
Investigation and troubleshooting on the Cellular DAS has uncovered RF Noise on the hospital system. Connectivity Wireless will perform troubleshooting and maintenance operations on the Cellular DAS to isolate and correct RF Noise issues.
Assessment
On Thursday, 04/29/26 from 0800 – 1700 and Friday, 05/01/26 from 0800 – 1700 we will experience intermittent rolling outages for all cellular carriers throughout all MUHC Cellular DAS covered buildings while engineers work on correcting RF Noise issues.
Recommendation
All MUHC staff members and departments should be aware of a planned DAS Cellular Outage for Thursday, April 29, 2026. from 0800 – 1700 and Friday, May 1, 2026. from 0800 – 1700. The Telecom Department will be paging overhead during this change window due to intermittent rolling outages of all cellular coverage throughout MUHC. Please ensure all MUHC and BYOD devices are registered and added to the UMHBYOD network to avoid loss of connectivity. Registration for the UMHBYOD network is located on MYMUHEALTH.
